Prom Night is a 1980 Canadian horror film directed by Paul Lynch and written by Russell Guthrie. The movie takes place on April 30, 1978, where Donna Keppel (Jamie Lee Curtis), a high school student, is preparing to attend her senior prom with her boyfriend, Craig (Edward McGee). However, the night takes a deadly turn when a sadistic killer from Donna's past, Derek Robinson (Alexandra Paul), emerges to wreak havoc on the party. Derek was a former student at Hamilton High School who had a crush on Donna but was rejected by her. Seeking revenge, he begins stalking Donna and her friends, eventually crashing the prom to exact his twisted vengeance.
